Talking openly about what it means to be dyslexic
This video entitled ‘The Unusual Suspects’ is a 30 minute video made by dyslexic members of staff who talk openly about what it means to be dyslexic and how it has affected them at work and at home. It has been made to increase awareness of Dyslexia and marks the start of the Positive About Disability campaign by West Midlands Fire Service to raise awareness of disability among its staff. The video has already been endorsed by the Department of Work and Pensions and the British Dyslexia Association.
It was great to work on this project with Aaron and the cast from West Midlands Fire Service. The project was filmed in a studio and edited over four days.
